Does "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" give you the ability to have relationships?

I was just wondering if you could engage in a relationship like in Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

Does it also feature the ability to choose what you want to say (like the dialogue wheel in the above mentioned games) and alternate endings depending on how you chose to play?Does "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" give you the ability to have relationships?
They have confirmed that you can get married to an NPC and have them live with you. Since they also stated that your spouse can fight with you I suspect that you will only be able to marry companion characters. I hope this is the case. It would be boring and kind of pointless if you could just marry any NPC like in Fable. I would rather they take the time to create love interests with unique dialogue and their own back stories.

Nothing has been revealed about dialogue. The dialogue choices in past elder scrolls games have always been pretty limited. You will probably mostly only get generic choices with the occasional opportunity to be rude or flirtatious.

Skyrim has no ending. Some choices you make can effect the game world and the outcome of quests though. For example they stated that if you sabotage a mill you will see the town fall in to poverty. Or if you kill an NPC his family may react differently to you when giving a quest.Does "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" give you the ability to have relationships?
Not sure. But if it did I wouldn't want it to be like the relationships in ME or DA. I'd rather it be like the ones in Fable. You can have an NPC stay at your house, but they wouldn't bug you otherwise. Then, if you got tired of them you could kick them out or kill them off. :p

Anyway, I haven't heard anything about TES V including relationships, so my guess is that it probably won't. They've been very vocal about announcing the big changes so far, and being able to have a relationship would be a very big change. Actually, I have to agree with the first answerer and say I'd probably prefer it without relationships, TES has always been a nice, free open-world adventure where you don't have to worry about anyone but yourself. That's always been one of the stronger points for me.Does "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" give you the ability to have relationships?
Hopefully not.

If i wanted to have a relationship with someone i'd be spending my time in the clubs down town.
