Why does Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V promote same sex marriage?

If they were using a historical background for Skyrim which of course I know it's only a game. But the ancient pagans never allowed same sex handfastings. Why does Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V promote same sex marriage?
It's a fantasy game set in a fantasy land on a fantasy world. It doesn't promote this. It allows it. The game is rated M, it is not for children. Never mind the fact that you'll end up murdering scores of people in this game. It ALLOWS gay marriage. THAT is the big problem.
Untrue... it was allowed in many ancient cultures... and transgender people were highly respected and often functioned as teachers, healers and clergy. In Native America culture it was a great status symbol to have a transgender (MTF) wife.

It was the Abrahmic religions that laid down the extremely restrictive sexual paradigms... except for their own clergy of course. Why does Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V promote same sex marriage?
You claim:
"But the ancient pagans never allowed same sex handfastings"
To which I say [Citation Needed]
Seriously. Because you're wrong. Whether so-called '3rd gender marriages' in the Americas or same sex unions in Pre-Christian (and Early Christian) Europe, you're just wrong.

....and if you think Skyrim is historical, it's no wonder you get history wrong.
Well if u dig deep enough u will know that several "ancient" civilisations engaged in homosexuality.

But regardless, it's just a horrible thing how that game is so historically incorrect...why everyone knows they didn't really have dragons back then. I mean, come on...what are they trying to promote here.....Why does Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V promote same sex marriage?
I do not know this program.I cannot set an answer in context.A general answer might be that Journalists, Animators, Cartoonists, Editors, Writers, Producers have found that Popular and Liberal references will appeal to an audience. The "License" to bend, stretch, mutate and generally fiddle with history, the truth, myths, folk-lore,customs etc.+ Items and Points of Interest in the World scene can/does attract viewers. 'Issues' also fit into programs which advance Hedonism/Naturalism and acceptance of the Physical. For example, the completely Nude Male has finally been freed of any inhibitions, theirs or those of national TV viewers. (Australia) The Sexual Revolution of the 1940+ continues to condition viewers to ACCEPT the breakdown of Sexual Morality+.Systematic Liberalism. It does involve a challenge, a snub to,an overthrow of / to- those organizations and people who dare to have any rules or norms governing how others should their bodies.
If its not historically accurate then make it up and tell people it is. If you keep telling them they will eventually believe you. Like Hitler said. Don't you know that Christians are responsible for everything that wrong in the world. Things were so peaceful in Pagan times and then those evil Christians enforced their laws on them.

In truth people would rather believe a lie than accept the truth.

You know why.
Because it's sexy.

However, I have yet to find a Kajiit I can marry. I really, really, REALLY want to marry one of my Kajiit followers, but he's like "not interested" and I'm all "GOD DAMN IT! LIVE IN MY HOUSE AND STAY WITH ME FOREVER!" and he's all like "Did you need me to do something?"
Modern times are different from historical times. Like it or not, the world is taking a step towards accepting homosexuality. Same sex marriage is promoted to appeal to more audiences.
The game doesn't promote it, it allows it. People choose for themselves how to play the game.

I am so sure that the magic and the dragons are also historically accurate.
The ancient pagans probably didn't allow women to walk around wearing chainmail and wielding weapons either. It's a game. Oh yeah, magic isn't real either!
I will answer this question with two questions. Are you retarded? Do you understand the difference between promote and permit?
Because booty pirating is cool and the gang!!!!
It's a glitch in the game. Nothing more.
